In the spirit of the holidays, we asked our Ignite group at Search and our Disability Awareness Players what they are grateful for and their favorite holiday music and movies. Read their responses below:

• What are you most grateful for this year?

    • Abby: I am grateful for God, family, friends, staff and a roof over my head.
    • Alex: My family and pie.
    • Becky: My family, especially my mom. I’m also grateful that I got a job 2 1/2 years ago.
    • Bryan: Holiday gifts and family.
    • Erich: My family.
    • Henry: My family, health, job, and housemates. Really, I’m grateful for the whole world!
    • John M.: The staff I work with at Search, my family and my friends.

    • Abby: I like watching Christmas musicals, like The Nutcracker. I also like listening to Christmas music.
    • Becky: I like watching  Elf and Home Alone. I like listening to The Little Drummer Boy by David Bowe and Bing Cosby.
    • Bryan: I most like to listen to Christmas music.
    • Erich: I most enjoy Christmas movies.
    • Henry: I like listening to Joy to the World.
    • John M.: I enjoy Christmas music, especially Santa is Coming to Town.
    • Kiefer: My favorite Christmas movie is Elf!
    • Kristina: I watch a lot of Christmas movies.

    • Brian: Yes, my favorite song is Jingle Bell Rock, but I also like Jingle Bells and I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas. My favorite Christmas movie is Elf because it’s such a funny and holiday festive movie!
    • Sarah S.T.: Yes, I like to enjoy holiday music concerts.
    • Claudia: My favorite holiday movie is Home Alone. 
    • John G.: I think my favorite holiday movies are the first two Home Alone movies, but I enjoy all holiday movies.
    • Alana: I like holiday music. I like watching holiday movies, including Home Alone 2 and Elf. I also enjoy the classics like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, and Merry Christmas Charlie Brown.
