In this great talk featured on TED.com, allow Evelyn Glennie, a Grammy Award-winning percussionist who lost all her hearing by age 12, to show you a new way to listen to music.

“Evelyn Glennie is simply a phenomenon of a performer.”

Wow she is good! Thanks for sharing. I’m going to share this with my sister Sarah, who played percussion throughout junior high and high school. She still plays for fun on occasion.

Thanks for posting this mind-blowing performance/presentation! Can you imagine a musician who has lost her hearing making exquisitely beautiful music, and teaching those of us who are able to hear, how to listen? Well you don’t have to imagine…just watch this video of the extraordinary Evelyn Glennie!
