Upon arrival there was a video showing National Disability Employment Awareness. Posters advocating for workers with disabilities in the work place could be seen throughout the larger Distribution Center. Free tours are open tot he public every first Tuesday of the month. This business is so Disability Aware, they have sought out Community Partners to be able to support a young man with ASD to assist him in remaining on the job. My colleague and I spent 5 hours in their distribution Center touring learning how the entire operation works. All of the staff were very welcoming and accommodating, and this attitude seemed to be fostered throughout the company. Members of their HR and Staff team sat down with us and expressed strong interest in developing an inclusive environment and utilizing accommodations to include more persons with disabilities in their work force. Their initiative is growing.
