It would be hard to find someone who is more friendly to anyone with disabilities. She is now leveraging her knowledge by teaching future teachers and even professors at NEIU to touch more kids with a broad assortment of disabilities.
She works in private practice with a specialty working with non-verbal youth with autism, Rett Syndrome and other non-vernal populations.
The office is vey comforting and has wheel chair access.
There is some family movement near the home office but it helps many clients by providing relationships outside their usual circle of both adults and kids.
Her use of video differentiates her work when she goes into schools to advocate for her clients and when she presents to her students or audiences when she is asked to be a speaker.
She is incredible!!!
Disability Awareness:
Welcoming, Talked directly to the person/people with disability, Friendly, Gave choices, Gave extra time, Respectful, Helpful with assistance or accommodation, Flexible service, Physically accessible, Accessible Parking
