A group of clients with disabilities and I just started helping volunteer there. The staff are very accommodating and nice. They gave us multiple chores to help with at different levels of difficulty.
At the end the staff walked our group around and let us feed the horses carrots and apples. The clients I brought were ecstatic! They loved their experience there.

Horsefeathers provides a very welcoming place. Sessions are motivating for the riders; All of the therapists make each session special. All of the volunteers are helpful and fully engaged. Nothing but positive experiences to report. I wholeheartedly recommend Horsefeathers to other special needs parents. Horsefeathers participates in the Illinois Special Olympics competition in Decatur every fall. This event provides an nurturing place to use skills acquired through therapy and build self-confidence and pride. The staff and volunteers of Horsefeathers makes you feel like your part of a big extended therapy. Additionally, Horsefeathers provides opportunities to people with disabilities to volunteer, which further promotes self-confidence and pride.

I've had the pleasure of working with the Horsefeathers Horse Farm a number of times while on the job working with participants. The staff and volunteers there are exemplary of the field, the horses are nice, and the whole experience always comes off as wholesome. Highly recommend.

i love horsefeathers cause i get to volunteer there and i get to take care and ride my favorite horse big red. i like to ride with my coach because she likes to help me and i think she is so cool. the facility is helpful because it is accessible and has picture support for my training. the staff is friendly and helpful to me.
