going to see a Kane County Cougar Game, while a bit of a drive, is a great alternative to a Sox/Cubs excursion for those with disabilities. Besides being cost prohibitive, it is also generally more accessible, less hassle. Many accessible spaces (though the curb is not ramped in all places). There is plenty of accessible seating behind the fences, away from stray balls. The bathrooms have automatic sinks that are wheelchair height, a big plus in my book. The staff is also very accommodating, and the family friendly vibe is a little easier to maneuver through than the overwhelming pathways of Wrigley field. I did see one gentleman with Downs, too, working in the concession stand. A very nice experience.
