Just visited Turning Point. Wow. What a nice facility. Very accessible. I especially liked the poster in the waiting room that expresses very clearly how Turning Point works with clients who have mental illness. The staff is really friendly and caring.

I have been going to Turning Point for over 2 years and it's not just another organization. It's a tight-knit community that's like a family. They not only help with housing and education, but also have a psychosocial rehabilitation program that helps with socialization and recovery. The PSR community has a special comraderie of both clients and staff. The relationships I formed at Turning Point helped with both my recovery and improving my self-esteem. I will be forever grateful.

In regards to Turning Point, I have been a client for approximately 5 years and I've benefitted particularly from the encouragement to become involved in activities and to some degree to become a part of the formation of a musical group and I believe this helped in my self-esteem and motivation. I feel that without the understanding of the staff at Turning Point in helping people to develop their skills at whatever capability they have, I would not have recovered to the extent that I have. I also feel that there was an emphasis on personal potential that may sometimes not be recognized by the client themselves, but is recognized by the staff. The staff encourages clients to fully develop these potentials. I feel the staff treats the clients as equals in their humanness.
