I was at the Fear Experiment 3 concert organized by Mac 'n Cheese Productions recently and was delighted to see that not only was there a performer who was deaf, but also sign language interpreters present at the show. ABC7's Karen Meyer even featured them on her segment about Disability Issues.
Having a participant who was deaf helped everybody involved in the show, and everyone who attended it, become more disability-aware!
Kudos to Mac 'n Cheese Productions for being inclusive and making your events accessible to people with disabilities.
Disability Awareness:
Welcoming, Talked directly to the person/people with disability, Friendly, Gave extra time, Respectful, Helpful with assistance or accommodation, Flexible service, Physically accessible
