GSB has employed my autistic son Josh in their operations department for the past 3 years. The bank employees are welcoming and include him in all bank functions. He does not have an outside job coach and they help him when he needs extra assistance. He is paid more than minimum wage and has received salary increases.
I cannot say enough about how inclusive and supportive his co-workers are. His language is very impaired but they work with him so well.

I cannot say enough good things about Glenview State Bank. Family and friends of those with disabilities should support this business.

As a disability rights advocate, I was deeply affected by the way Glenview State Bank (GSB) responded to the previous review by a customer who uses a wheelchair. Not only did the Bank retro-fit the door to make its building more accessible, it also requested disability-awareness training from the JJ's List Disability Awareness Players.

Then, in the past few days, I learned that GSB made a generous donation to our school district's new Special Olympics program, after being asked just one time.

The world would be a better (and more accessible) place, if more businesses conducted their operations the way GSB does! Kudos to GSB. I'm very impressed!

I was here this morning for an event. All bank staff with whom I interacted were wonderful, and this branch location is physically accessible.

the staff is very nice but the getting in the bank is a challenge because they have a rotating door then on the side there is a door that is marked wheelchair accessible but there is no door opener and inside there is not one part of the counter that is lowered for a wheelchair user

I honestly had thought that the side door next to the revolving door was wheelchair accessible (since it did have a button for automatic opening). Upon seeing your review, I investigated and you were absolutely right. I am happy to inform you that because of your review, we have retrofitted that entrance next to the revolving door and it is now wheelchair accessible. Thank you!
