I noticed that SBS Transit has begun replacing their buses to make them wheelchair accessible. While replacing all buses will take some time, they now have over 2000 wheelchair-accessible buses in their fleet.

I was on one of the wheelchair accessible buses recently and noticed great features like a ramp, a seat back cushion for the wheelchair user to lean against, and a buzzer located lower than others right next to the wheelchair lot. Pressing that buzzer will alert the bus driver that the wheelchair user would like to alight at the next stop. The bus driver has been trained to assist the user on and off the bus.

Looking forward to seeing the entire fleet being updated. Great job so far.
