Well, I'm not a member of this synagogue's congregation, and I'm not even Jewish, but I saw an ad that Bene Shalom put in our local paper that impressed me. The heading was "looking for an inclusive synagogue?" The ad emphasized that all families -- interfaith, interracial and SPECIAL NEEDS -- are welcome, and that Bene Shalom is the only synagogue in Chicagoland with weekly sign language interpreted services. Perhaps members of the congregation would be willing to write a more detailed review... But that ad really caught my eye, because most houses of worship need to make a great effort to be welcoming and inclusive, like Bene Shalom.
