InvisiClimb, Inc. produces invisible plant hangers and invisible trellis kits for plant lovers that wish to place the focus on the beautiful plant and not the plant hanger or the trellis.. InvisiClimb is packaged and shipped through the Pioneer Center for Human Services in McHenry, IL.
InvisiClimb provides a reusable invisible plant hanger, a clear plant hanger to display both your houseplants indoors as well as your outdoor hanging baskets. They are strong, supporting 40 lbs.
InvisiClimb invisible trellis kits are for the plant lover to display beautiful decorative vines, to provide a clear, flexible clematis trellis or a morning glory trellis which doesn't look like a trellis at all! They are also a great addition to vertical gardening allowing users to place a clematis or morning glory vine on a wall, post, mailbox or even a downspout .
All InvisiClimb plant hangers and trellis kits are made by Persons with Disabilities in McHenry, Illinois. InvisiClimb is proud of the relationship with Pioneer. Linda Vadnais, President of InvisiClimb said "It is easy to outsource products to be manufactured in other countries, but at this time, InvisiClimb knows that it is "Best for the US" to employ clients at Pioneer Center".
The good news is that, in serving as a fulfillment center for clients like InvisiClimb, approximately 300 disabled adults turn the vocational education provided by Pioneer Center into actual employment. The bad news is that, with the economic downturn in the economy, more and more of the jobs Pioneer Center workers have performed in the past are being given to more skilled workers, shipped overseas or lost entirely.
Craig Adams, a marketing representative with the Pioneer Center, said, “We’re probably down 50 percent of where we were two years ago. Every job we have now is very valuable for these workers.”
Vadnais said that, once her clear polymer plant hangers are manufactured, Pioneer Center employees handle all of her packaging, shipping and fulfillment needs. “They really do it all for me,” Vadnais said.
She said that working with Pioneer Center provides a good feeling for herself and her customers who appreciate supporting disabled workers. “It’s just the right thing to do to give people an opportunity when no one else does,” she said.
