Terrible!
Terrible!

Wow, I was happy. I pulled in for gas and had two, maybe three guys filling my gas. One was under the hood, the second was cleaning my windows and the third guy was talking to me. It was nice to have this service. Then it hit me. Why I had three guys working on putting fuel in my car...I started getting it from all three. You need new tires, your trans need to be cleaned, oil looks really dirty and, I would need a four wheel alinement. Now get this, the guy talking to me said, "pull in we can take care of you in less then an hour. Really, less then an hour?? To do all of this? Yes Sir. How much? Well we won't know that till we get you in the shop. Well, my $350 plus $450 for tires end up at $1745. RUKidding! Sucked in.

I went to this Duxler location this afternoon. Glenn, the owner, is very friendly and so are his employees. They even employ someone with a disability, which is great. I could hear work being done, so it's obvious that this is a great place to go if your vehicle needs repairs.

Duxler has THE BEST customer service... period. I recently pulled in for gas (always full serve, at no additional cost) and spoke to one of the guys about a wierd sound my car was making. He took a drive around town with me to assess. Then, he encouraged me to try the dealership first because it would possibly save me money if it was still under warranty! How honest is that?

Duxler has a group of honest, friendly, hard-working employees and I do know that they also have an employee with a disability.

I am aware of at least two people who purchase their gas here even though they live in Chicago and Northbrook. They have a (well-deserved) following of discerning customers.

And the best part of all? Free windshield solution fill-ups, window washing, and CANDY. Great job, Duxler guys!

I remembered that Duxler on Greenbay Rd. is a Disability-Aware Business on JJ's List, so I decided to give it a try when I was in the neighborhood. When I pulled up to the self-serve island, a cheerful guy came out to pump my gas. I told him I wanted self-serve, but he offered to pump the gas and clean my windows without an extra charge. Wow! These days, you never get that kind of service. Now, every time I'm on Greenbay in Wilmette, and my tank is less than 1/2 full, I pull in to this Duxler station. Glad I found it on JJ's List.

This place is great! If mobility is a challenge for you I highly recommend it! The guys come out with a huge, friendly smile and give you full service - fill your tank and clean your windows - at a self-service price. And they fill your washer fluid at no charge! They are so nice and accomodating.
