My neighbor Patrick from across the hall took me here just a bit ago for lunch, and we had a nice time. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Our meals arrived quickly, and were very tasty.

My tutor Dave and I came here again on Sunday for a somewhat early dinner. This restaurant was recently renovated, which I was unaware of until Dave pointed it out to me. The front area no longer has a step, and the restaurant is a bit bigger. So that is what I mainly wanted to write about here. Our server was nice, and our meals were great.

Okay
Okay

There is a step at the front door, however they do have a disabled button you can hit so they will come with a ramp. The interior is a bit tight, so navigating with a rollator is challenging and a little stressful. Good food, with uneven service.

We have become weekend regulars. We are treated as valued customers -- the staff are familiar with my son's allergies and have memorized his regular order!

Saw that other review about inaccessibility of Lucky. When you press the Big Bell, they will bring out a portable ramp so that people using wheelchairs can get in. I love their food too!

I love love love Lucky Platter, so it kills me to say this: it's not physically accessible. There is a little three inch ledge that you have to get over to enter the restaurant. They do have a clearly positioned doorbell for people in wheelchairs to ring for assistance.

After that hiccup though, this place is wonderful! Their menu regulars are phenomenal and their seasonal specials are always tasty. Definitely worth a trip. If you find yourself there for breakfast, get the Apricot Flaky. You won't be disappointed!

Lucky Platter restaurant in Evanston has a great atmosphere and fantastic food! Their excellent burgers, sandwiches, entrees and salads, including a house salad with greens, walnuts, raisins and goat cheese, as well as a tasty and satisfying eggplant sandwich and not-to-be-missed sweet potato fries are affordable at prices ranging from $2.50 for a cup of chunky caribbean pumpkin soup or small salad, to $16.50 for grilled skirt steak. The eclectic decorations add to the fun. The restaurant has a step to enter but wheelchair users need not be put off; there's a button on the doorway that will alert staff to come out with a foldable ramp for easy access. The washroom is large enough to accomodate a standard wheelchair as well, and is easily accessible on the main level; once inside, there are no obstacles to overcome except for a somewhat crowded table layout. The staff are always friendly and willing to help if necessary, and address questions to me rather than to my companions. Open 7 days a week, this restaurant is not to be missed!

Here I was visiting Evanston for the first time in a long time, Because Lucky Platter was a "Bridge Builder " Business we held our breakfast meeting there and I had lunch there before returning to my office. The first thing that hit me in the face as we got there was a call button on the outside, that persons could use to get help if needed up the little step with the ramp this business had invested money in getting. Once inside there was no wanting for anything, you sat down enjoyed the food and everything came to you. Great service, low prices, good tasting food. Go enjoy and see what a great business this is.

I've been to The Lucky Platter several times, and each time I was very impressed. Not only is the food great, but the service is great too. All servers I've had there were very patient and did not rush me or my friends when we ordered. Although I have not had an opportunity to utilize the accessibility features at this restaurant, it is great that they're available. I definitely recommend The Lucky Platter to anyone who hasn't been there and has a hankering for some good, ecclectic food. One of my favorite things there is the cream sodas.
