Yesterday I went to Something's Cooking, the fall CIF fundraiser and had a fun time. Although I was with friends and family the whole time, the place is still great and the restaurant staff made the whole event worthwhile by their disability awareness. I also had some great food and drinks.

I was at an event here recently and found the place very accessible. This restaurant was kind enough to open their entire space for a disability non-profit's event. It had ramps, wide open spaces, and was even large enough to have a room for people who preferred a quieter space to sit.

I completely agree with the other reviewer here. I was also in attendance at Sunday's event, called Something's Cooking and held every year now for a few years by Center for Independent Futures. The food was excellent and the atmosphere very welcoming. In addition to going to Prairie Moon for Something's Cooking, I've been there other times and the wait staff were always very accommodating. A couple years my family and I went there for my birthday dinner, and my dad was paged and had to go to the hospital. This was just before we ordered our meals, so we ordered a burger to go for my dad. The server brought it out right away and we took it home and warmed it up for when my dad came back from the hospital that night.

I attended a large event at Prairie Moon which included many guests with disabilities, including my son. On more than one occasion, I noticed the wait staff was welcoming and patient. There is a large ramp running from the front end of the restaurant to the back rooms, making it accessible for people in wheelchairs. Great restaurant.
