I wasn't there when JJ's List did a training there, but I did go recently to see a show. The theater was very nice and beautiful! It was crowded when I was there, but there is a lot of space for everyone to go, since there is more than one floor. The opera house has elevators with attendants that push the buttons for you and let you know which floor you're on. There are plenty of options for food and beverages, and the ushers are more then willing to assist you if needed. What I liked the most was that during the performance, there were sign language interpreters near the front row translating the show. What a great example of disability awareness!

I attended an event here earlier this week with a group of friends. The presentation was very well done, and all staff and volunteers with whom I interacted were great. I've also been here a few times with my mother who is a frequent opera person.

The disability awareness training at the Lyric Opera was a wonderful experience! The staff at the opera were very friendly and welcoming. The environment was fantastic. I enjoyed that the audience was very engaging and willing to participate in the training. The only downside was I thought the room was a bit small, but we did have open space. The parking could have been more accessible in relation to the distance to the opera.
