Great!
Great!

I volunteered here a few years ago, and I really like their mission. I like how they're able to provide services to everyone with disabilities, regardless of age or what their disability is. Being a former equestrian myself, I find the concept of equine therapy to be interesting, and it seems to have been beneficial to the people that go to this organization for sessions. The horses are very friendly and well-trained, and everyone that works there is so nice, patient, and understanding with both their coworkers and clients.

Equestrian Connection is a special place, lovingly founded and operated as a non-profit organization by people who are devoted to children and adults with a wide variety of physical and social-emotional challenges. It's a beautiful facility/stable that houses about 15 well-loved and well-cared-for horses on a beautiful piece of property. Individual hippotherapy and therapeutic riding lessons are available, as well as a wide variety of after-school, summer camp, pre-vocational, art therapy, massage therapy and other programs. There is also a flexible, on-site respite program on Sundays.

The atmosphere at Equestrian Connection is welcoming, fun and inclusive. The only caveat is that it is difficult to communicate with them since they often use an answering service. Otherwise, we are extremely happy with our teen-aged son's experience there, and wish we had discovered it sooner.
