I like it. Because of Margaret Tanenberg. It is fun with my tutor Rob Larson. We are going to do the Polar Plunge Together in February 27th in Palatine.

The reason I love CIF is because all of the people are so friendly and smart. They seem to always know which direction to point my daughter in and myself in. THey are located on Main street and have an open door policy. They keep cold beverages in the refrigerator for those who drop in! I feel part of a small town when I am inside of CIF. The people are the best I have ever known. I hope CIF is around for many many years to come!

CIF is a nonprofit organization which creates living options for people with disabilities. There are two main reasons why I love CIF. It is nonprofit and therefore not reliant on government funeding which, as we all know, takes a very long time if it happens at all. Also, the staff and volunteers at CIF are extremely friendly and aware of our needs and desires. I've lived in an apartment building near the CIF office since August of 2004. At first I was with a roommate and now I'm on my own in an upstairs apartment. The support services provided are excellent, and everyone embraces the idea that we as people with disabilities need to be as independent as possible. Yet help is always provided when we ask for it.
