About this time last year, I went to the store for some shoes and to apply for a job. I filled out an application for a job, and the employee said that they don't hire "retarded" people. They could have been nice about it without demeaning and embarrassing me.
Some people need to know that people with disabilities can be very good and loyal workers. I like to work even though sometimes I can't lift heavy things.
