Wow! TAC is a fine arts nonprofit that has a beautiful renovated accessible building, in which it offers a wide variety of arts and crafts classes for children, teens and adults. There's lots of work space and gallery space for exhibits. I've been there before for a fundraising benefit, and know that many organizations use TAC's building for special events
I had the opportunity to meet with members of TAC's Staff and Board, along with our special recreation association (NSSRA) to discuss how to make The Art Center more accessible to people with disabilities. Everyone seemed eager to explore how best to do that. I was impressed with their thoughtful questions, and enthusiasm to reach out to those in our local communities who would like to be able to explore their artistic side and develop their artistic talents, but who might need some accommodations and supports to do so.
Disability Awareness:
Welcoming, Friendly, Respectful, Physically accessible, Accessible Parking, actively exploring how to better serve those with disabilities
