Who are the Disability Awareness Players?

Posted by on September 6, 2016 - 0 Comments

We are a group of experts in disability, because we have disabilities!  And we are looking for new Players.

Since 2009, The JJsList.com Disability Awareness Players have helped others feel great about serving and employing the fastest growing minority in the country…people with disabilities.  We have trained over 4000 staff and management of companies and organizations – from Cigna-Healthspring to Baxter Healthcare, to the Shedd Aquarium and Brookfield Zoo, to schools and local libraries.

Anyone who wants to build confidence and comfort in how to communicate with customers, co-workers, students or potential hires who have disabilities benefits from our Disability Awareness Trainings.  We have worked with front-line staff and senior managers.  We have trained groups as small as 10 and as large as 400.

Our trainings are highly interactive and consistently earn rave reviews from participants.  And, they are a lot of fun!  In fact, 98% of audience members surveyed said that they would recommend this Disability Awareness Training to others.

We are all volunteers and we use fun tips, trivia, role play and networking to help audiences get over discomfort or fear and to learn disability-aware interaction styles that they can use right away.  And we earn a generous stipend for our efforts.  🙂
