Three of our Visibility Arts artists, John, Orman and Juan, will be among a total of 179 professional artists showing their work at an in-person Group Art Show at Evanston Art Center. Tina Zemen, Visibility Arts Manager, was instrumental in getting Search Inc. a group membership to Evanston Made. Evanston Made is an organization that connects the public to Evanston’s art community. The Group Art Show is one of many events sponsored by Evanston Made. We are very excited to be part of this community organization!

About this new opportunity, Tina shared, “Our Visibility Artists have been looking for opportunities to show alongside other artists in different venues and to have more of an inclusive experience as artists.  Evanston Made is an amazing organization whose very mission is to have the community know and connect with Evanston artists. They offer opportunities for artists and we are excited to be a part of this. The Evanston Made Group Show has 3 of our artists showing at the Evanston Art Center this June. It is bringing our goals to life. We are grateful to be a part of this show and a part of Evanston Made.”

John, one of the artists involved, is looking forward to this opportunity. He shared, “I feel great and am very excited that my artwork will be on display with other artists. My painting is a portrait of myself. I chose the purple background because it’s the color of the Minnesota Vikings and it resembles the way I feel – soothing and warm. I would be thankful if somebody buys it.”
