Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are the heart and soul of Search Inc. They provide the support that allows the individuals we serve to live to their fullest potential each and every day. Search celebrated our wonderful DSPs during DSP Recognition Week, held on September 12 -19th, 2021.
This year, our Search team thanked our incredible DSP team with daily Zoom celebration calls, a special Search gift, and more. This week is just a small celebration of the appreciation and gratefulness we have for our DSPs 365 days of the year!
Below are a few thoughts from Search leadership:
THANK YOU to our DSP team for the endless dedication to the people we support. These past couple years have been the most challenging in Search’s history but our staff members have risen to the occasion time and time again, including 83 staff members that offered to live-in with our residents for 6-12 weeks at a time during the toughest moments of the pandemic.
Search DSPs are the best DSPs! Thank you for all you do each and every day.
– Cory Gumm, Chief Executive Officer
True love and compassion to encourage and collaborate with adults with developmental disabilities is a mark of an extraordinary person. That is who our DSPs are.
– Adrienne East, QIDP
To be a DSP is a great sacrifice. Our DSPs not only work the job, but they also embody the job and have adopted it as having a second family. This year DSP week showcased Gold Stars!
I thank every DSP at Search Inc. who continues to show up and show out!
Our individuals have had a challenging year and a half, but the DSPs have continued to help them through it all.
Many thanks, appreciation, and gratitude to all the Search DSPs!
– Latasha Grant, Recruitment and Staff Development Manager
Our Search DSPs are the backbone of the agency. They put so much of themselves into the care they provide. You can see their strong commitment to the individuals they serve and the positive effect they have on each person. It takes a very special person with a big heart to be a Search DSP.
