Matthew On The Job

Posted by on August 25, 2015 - 3 Comments

I like vacation but I love to work the most. I work at Lou Malnati’s, an Italian restaurant in Evanston, Illinois. I work in the kitchen on Wednesdays and host during the weekends.  I also work at Walmart as a Sales Associate. In my role I fold clothing, stock merchandise and help customers.  I take the Pace Suburban Bus to all my jobs.

Matthew On The Job at Lou Malnati’s

I think work is a way to self-advocate because it shows that you are a great person and you can do the work. For me, it’s not about the money, it means I am a great team player and leader. I love to work because it’s all about the person, how they feel for me is different.

I do like change, but having someone to help me and see what they do helps me learn and adjust to change. When you look at my story you will love to work. When you start earning money, you will love to go on vacations with the money you worked hard for!  It is very fun when I wake up and just do a great job.

Hi Matthew. This is a great post, and I’m so glad you like your jobs. Pizza is one of my favorite things to eat, and Lou Malnati’s has some of the best pizza around in my opinion!

Hi there this article was inspiring for me, because this article makes me think of moving forward and find an outside job. But I am skeptical on finding an outside job because I have a job which I like and it pays well for me. Also I am scared to do some things in the world, such as meeting new people and thinking of what they might think of me, because I have a disability and I am feeling unsure of myself working in public businesses. It is scary not knowing is out there and I hate working night time. But Matthew LaChappell congrats man.
