No Boundaries – Train for Life, Train for Work prides itself on bringing a diverse and knowledgeable group of Trainers to help participants learn the skills that they need or want in order to be successful in the workplace, and in the world, after school ends.

It is with both a wistful wave and and cheerful greeting that we say goodbye to Laurie Finnegan and welcome Tricia Luzadder to the team of No Boundaries Trainers!

During her time at No Boundaries, Laurie facilitated skills-building trainings in areas of self-organization, professionalism, and communication, provided on-the-job coaching to support participants in improving their performance at work, helped oversee our ComEd Energy Force Ambassadorship program, and supported participants in searching for and applying to jobs, including one participant who achieved an internship in a state government office!

Laurie did this all while earning her certification as an Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional.  She has clocked hundreds of volunteer hours at shelters for victims of domestic violence, and worked as a swim instructor at the McGaw YMCA, all while of serving as our lead No Boundaries Trainer. We wish Laurie well as she embarks on bit of adventure in Croatia this summer!

Tricia Luzadder, who has been serving as a Mentor for the past month, is already picking up where Laurie is leaving off. “Joining the No Boundaries team is very exciting for me,” Tricia says. “The level of respect and professionalism that is given to and expected from clients so impressed me from the first day I came in to mentor that I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to become part of the No Boundaries team.”

As a parent of an individual with a disability herself she understands completely the needs and wants of an individual from experience because she’s seen it herself.

“Since the birth of my daughter 15 years ago I have been advocating on behalf of individuals with disabilities.  For the past several years my focus has been on supports and services for individuals with disabilities in the school setting.   As Anna nears Transition my focus is shifting to life after school.  It is crucial to provide individuals with disabilities with the tools, skills and supports they need as adults to be as independent and successful as possible in life. No Boundaries is a program that does just that. I am excited to become a member of the No Boundaries team”

So please join the JJsList.com, Search, Inc. and No Boundaries staffs in saying, “goodbye” to Laurie and, “Hello and welcome!” to Tricia.
