On Tuesday, September 16, 22014, we at jjslist.com co-hosted Evanston MashUp, a get-together held at Northwestern University. The event, hosted by Northwestern University, and coordinated with the City of Evanston and Evanston Chamber of Commerce, is an annual event designed to bring Northwestern University, the business community and Evanstonians together, all under one big tent with lots of food and good music. Our job: to network and promote disability awareness to the business and civic communities.
Our Disability Awareness Players volunteered during MashUp, meeting new and old friends in the business community. We met up with Miguel Wong from CoLab (where our old office used to be), Jessica Oldani of Oldani Entrepreneurial Law, P.C., Ellen King and Julie Matthei of Hewn, Malik Turley of Hip Circle Studios, Stephanie Phelan of Speedpro Imaging North Shore, and restaurants that gave out bites to eat, including Tommy Nevin’s Pub, Koi and World of Beer.
“I thought it was a great event,” said Stephanie Phelan, Owner of Speedpro Imaging North Shore, “I thought the food and company was great, it was well-attended, well-represented.”

We had a lot of fun at MashUp, and we hope to see you mashing it up again next year!
