Our Programs
In our short history, we have successfully launched the following programs and services:
- www.jjslist.com: Currently operated by volunteers with and without disabilities; people with disabilities, families and friends post reviews of businesses to the Disability Awareness Directory, a searchable list of businesses and services that contains information about a business's disability awareness.
- Internet Skills-Building Workshops for the Disability Community: Designed to facilitate better access to, and use of, technology and the Internet by people with disabilities with the goal of improving the ability to find a job and access community resources.
- Technology Internships for High School Students with Disabilities: Teaches transitioning high school students website management skills toward building future education and employment.
- Bridge Builder Program – Businesses can join the Disability Awareness Directory as Bridge Builders to promote their commitment to creating disability aware business environments.
- Disability Awareness Workshops for Businesses: JJ’s List reaches out to the business community through workshops that provide tools and resources to help businesses successfully welcome people with disabilities through their doors and into the community.
