Great!
Great!

I just started taking mandolin lessons at Hogeye Music. When I was interested in learning the mandolin, I called Hogeye Music, and Jim Craig, the owner of Hogeye Music picked up the phone. I told him I was interested in taking mandolin lessons. So then when I went over to the store, I tried out the mandolin, then a few weeks later, I rented a mandolin and started taking lessons. I have a mandolin teacher named Rick Veras. I enjoy taking mandolin lessons from Rick Veras at Hogeye Music. I'd recommend taking music lessons there. It's a good place to buy or rent instruments and take private music lessons. Hogeye Music is a fun music store to go to.

A few years ago, my son expressed interest in taking guitar lessons. I phoned a number of guitar shops and music schools. In response to my call, Jim Craig, owner of Hogeye Music, told me that he would ask his teachers about taking on a special needs student. As a result, my son has been taking private guitar lessons with Craig Champlin for three years now.

Jim Craig has a wonderful reputation in the folk music community, both as a musician and builder/repairer of instruments. He has been extraordinarily welcoming and kind to my son and me. His teachers seem to share his expertise and commitment to making music accessible to all.

I can heartily recommend Hogeye Music for lessons, instruments, sheet music and encyclopedic knowledge of folk and old-time music. (If Jim doesn't have it, you don't need it!)
