We went to this theater, 45 minutes from our homes, because it was the only theater playing a certain movie but I require captions in order to have access so we called ahead to ensure that the system was working.
We got there, got the tickets, got the CaptiView device and took our seats. We sat through the previews and I anxiously waited for the captions to begin. The movie began slowly and dramatically but...no captions.
Panicked, I ran downstairs to find someone. They called the manager but it took them 10 minutes to arrive. By this time the movie was 10 minutes in. What's the point of watching a movie without the first 10 minutes?
We vented our frustration to an increasingly irritated manager with the goal of getting them to take action to fix the problem. Instead, they called security.
