My neighbor Patrick and I came here again on Wednesday afternoon for an early dinner. Actually I only had dessert, since I had eaten a late lunch that day. But our server talked to me directly when taking our orders, and was nice. Upon finishing Patrick and I went back to the kitchen area and had a short but friendly conversation with Pete, one of the co-owners. My dessert was wonderful, and I think Patrick enjoyed his meal too.

My neighbor Patrick and I came here on Saturday evening for supper. He asked me if I wanted to sit at one of the outside tables. I agreed to this so we found one and sat down. Our server, Maggie, spoke to me directly when taking our orders, and Patrick commented to me yesterday that this was one thing he really liked. I have to concur. Our meals arrived quickly and were great as always.

On Sunday I came here again for brunch with some of my building mates, and 2 CIF staffers. We had another great experience. Jenny, the server we had that day, happens to be good friends with one of the staff members from CIF who was there. She is a great server, just like all others I've had. My meal was top-notch too.

I came to this restaurant again last night with my neighbors, for our August activity. We were seated in a back party room on the first floor. I think this was the room I was in while interning there. Our server was great as usual, and my meal was very good. I noticed upon checking the JJ's List site yesterday morning, that this restaurant is now a Disability Aware Business and has a website. So I checked out their site. It only seems to have some Twitter stuff on it right now, but I found it to work well with VoiceOver on my MacBook.

I've taken the CTA train to the Main CTA Station by myself and walked over to Firehouse Grill. When I've been to Firehouse Grill by myself, it hasn't been too hard to order my food. The first time I went to Firehouse Grill by myself, I walked into Firehouse Grill and got a table for one. When my waitress came to take my order, she was helpful to me by letting me take my time to order my food. I ordered my drink first and then my food. The drink I got was a lemonade. And what I got to eat was a grilled cheese with french fries. At Firehouse Grill, the food is ready in about 15 to 20 minutes. When my food arrived, I ate my food. I enjoy the food at Firehouse Grill. I enjoy their grilled cheese and their french fries. I also enjoy their lemonade. The waitress came to my table a few times and asked me how I was doing. I also got a refill on my lemonade. When I finished my food, I told the waitress that I was ready for the check. When the checkbook came, I paid for my food, and the waitress took it to the cash register, then brought it back with my change. The waitress said I could keep the checkbook on my table and she would come get it. After I paid my tip, I left Firehouse Grill and then took the CTA train home. Firehouse Grill is a fun restaurant to go to.

The Firehouse Grill is a popular restaurant which serves all kinds of very good food. I did a three-week internship there through Center for Independent Futures, and the owners/managers and other restaurant staff couldn't have been nicer. I worked there four days a week for an hour each day, rolling silverware into napkins. One or more of the staff would frequently come check on me and they always asked if I needed anything. In addition, one of the CIF staff would accompany me and be my job coach for the day: either my tutor Dave or someone from the office. When I first started the internship, one of the owners gave me a napkin and some silverware to take home and practice on. In addition to working there, I have eaten there several times and was always very impressed with both the menu choices and the food and beverage quality. The service is also great. Once I even got a discount on my lunch by one of the co-owners. I'd recommend this restaurant in a heartbeat to anyone who hasn't dined there before.
