Veterans Invited and Included!

Posted by on March 29, 2016 - 1 Comment

A direct line of communication between veterans with disabilities and businesses that have so much potential to change their lives by simply being inclusive and accessible to them is critical to the ability of vets to successfully reintegrate into civilian life as consumers and as employees.

Many words have been written and much frustration has been vented about the ethical responsibility of providing employment and support for veterans, particularly those who were changed in some manner or another by their service.

Illinois State Representative Michelle Mussman was quoted in the Chicago Tribune that, “As we continue to look for ways to better provide for our veterans, we must receive direct input from those men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our country.”

We couldn’t agree more!

Mussman is generating opportunities for communication through meetings with local organizations such as the Health and Disability Advocates (HDA) to discuss existing programs.  Veterans with disabilities…we invite you to visit JJsList.com to share your experiences with businesses – did you get that interview?  Were you accommodated?

We’d love to hear from you!
