PSA for Disability

Posted by on January 22, 2013 - 4 Comments

Eric Edling, a disability activist and wheelchair user with Spina Bifida, recently sent is a PSA for Disability that he created with some friends. According to him, the video is about Disability being just part of the diversity of the world, and not something to be ashamed of. Well Eric, we agree!

At the end, this PSA urges viewers to participate in a petition urging NBC to provide the Paralympics with just as much coverage as they do the Olympics. Thanks for sharing!

Precious Needs

There are millions of children globally who are suffering from illnesses that prevent them from walking. Most of these children are removed from their families and placed in institutions with horrible living conditions, limited resources and no hope of recovery. They denied an education and any chances of living fulfilling lives.

It is by broadcasting events such as Paralympics that people consider the disabled as one among them. It would showcase to the world that the physically challenged have the potential to make a difference in their life and set aside their inhibition that they are different from others. I hope NBC acts in good faith and telecasts the event with publicity.
