Team JJ’s List is really happy to announce that it is the recipient of a 2012 Community Grant by NSSED Foundation!

Since a growing number of students are using iPads for learning, special education teachers have requested that we develop applications for the iPad that correspond to our well-received Safe and Productive Internet Life & Literacy Skills (SPILLS) Curriculum that is being used in their classrooms.

With Apple’s recently released iBooks app, it will be possible for us to build interactive and affordable textbook applications for the iPad. The $1,500 grant will go towards the purchase of the needed Macbook Pro with OSX Lion and an iPad 2 to enable us to work on the development of our SPILLS iBooks.
