Kudos to Duxler for Promoting Disability Awareness

Duxler Complete Auto Care is changing the nature of “business as usual” when it comes to disability awareness.

Duxler received the “jjslist.com Disability-Aware Business Seal Of Approval” Thursday, October 10, 2013, during a Disability Awareness Training for businesses. This is a milestone for businesses in Illinois.

In our humble 🙂 opinion, Duxler walks the talk by hiring individuals with disabilities and partnering with New Foundation Center (NFC) of Northfield, a non-profit organization that helps people with mental health disability in housing and employment assistance. A longtime, family-owned and operated auto service staple in the Chicagoland area (remember the quacking duck logo?) Duxler services cars all over Chicagoland, with locations in Evanston, Skokie, Wilmette and Northbrook.  Duxler recognizes the fastest growing minority group in the nation – people with disabilities.  Kudos to all the folks at Duxler for believing in the integration of individuals with disabilities, starting with employment.

The event, held at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Skokie, coincided with National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), held each October to raise awareness about disability employment issues and to celebrate the contributions of America’s workers with disabilities.

The jjslist.com Disability-Aware Business Seal of Approval tells customers, clients and other businesses that Duxler Complete Auto Care is welcoming, flexible and friendly to people with disabilities. To earn the Disability-Aware Business Seal of Approval, Duxler completed two out of four annual requirements. Is it time for your business to get started? More information about the jjslist.com Disability-Aware Business Seal of Approval requirements are available at jjslist.com.
