On Wednesday August 23rd, I attended the ComEd Key Managers Meeting at the Danada House in Wheaton, IL. There were between 150-200 ComEd and Exelon employees and managers in attendance at the event.

I gave a speech detailing my experience as a ComEd Energy Force Ambassador and the importance of the program for promoting energy efficiency. I addressed that the program has benefitted and strengthened my communication skills in terms of interacting with the public. The issue of environmental and energy conservation is a strong passion of mine and my speech highlighted that the program has led to homes and businesses utilizing energy efficient methods. Also, I highlighted that the ComEd Energy Force program has raised awareness of the need for energy efficiency.

My speech conveyed to the audience that the program is a positive step in helping individuals with disabilities engage with the public and strengthen necessary communication skills for employment. I presented the Energy Efficiency award to ComEd CEO Anne Pramaggiore as a reward for leading the way toward energy efficiency and got a photo with her, Michele Ptaszek, Manager of Energy Efficiency Marketing, and Paula Conrad, Manager of Corporate Citizenship, on stage.

The feedback I got on my presentation skills from people who attended this meeting was very positive.  Someone even said I was “amazing!”
